| Bio and the people's noses who are behind the product | Lancôme Paris is a French cosmetics company that was launched by Armand Petitjean, in 1935. The company's name was inspired by the ruins of a castle, Le Château de Lancosme, and the brand's rose symbol was inspired by the roses that surround it. Lancôme's first fragrances were "Tendre Nuit" for women in 1935 and "Balafre" for men in 1967.
